Marketing of Atheism

It’s the war on truth – now with a do-good candy wrapper like religion to get people to listen and (not) believe. This is just hype really, but people buy into hype.

I saw this a while ago and thought, farking hell, that is a bit full on, but I totally appreciate what they are doing. Exciting times to live in, well I think so because I do truly assume that truth is slowly swallowing religion (which is HUGE) and I think the internet is quickening it. Bring it.

I get so excited seeing stuff like this because it actually makes sense.

“unless you count reinforcement of self delusion” – *ROTFLMFAO*

Now I have something to say damnit

Surfed into a Myspace blog and had the following dialogue with Javen, a person who assumes atheists hate themselves, the world and a god they don’t believe in.

Comment by Javen (In The Music):

I think at one point everyone gets to the point where you feel god is particularly not hearing u out and tends to cause some anger on your part. I know i’ve gotten angry many times but that never made me permantely rebel against my God. It’s merely just my human nature. To be honest with you, atheist’s thinking process has only one duty, to destroy. Just like anything else in life, if your miserable than your goin to take everyone down with you. Since they got nothing to live for what better way to live life than to demolish everyone elses faith and create a world that abominates everything in it. I don’t know how any atheist could have a positive mindset. You really have nothing to live for. And living without a cause, is a dead one.

Reply:

As an atheist myself I’m just gob smacked by your comment Javen.

How can you assume that atheists are miserable, do you even know what the definition of an atheist is? An atheist is a person who doesn’t believe in any superstition. All faith is by default superstition. Because I don’t mind walking under ladders and do not believe there is a god doesn’t make me a miserable, angry person with no appreciation of life.

On the contrary actually. Would you like to know how I derive happiness in my own “dead life” as you put it?

OK, here we go.

Interaction with people, laughing, discussions – usually scientific or political as that is what I and my friends find interesting. Are we depressed by science? No. Are we excited about it? Yes. Do I feel lucky for being born in this current age, definitely, I derive a lot of pleasure out of the sheer coincidence of my time of birth so I have access to this vast pool of quickened globalised knowlege, with tools like the internet at my disposal. I feel extremely lucky, and this makes me very happy, considering my ancestors were not privy to this.

Living in Australia makes me happy and grateful, again to appreciate the pot luck of life. Owning my own house, and truely deriving great pleasures from the block of land my boyfriend and I worked to own. Being able to have creative, expressive, and scientific ideas and not be persecuted for it, again because I live in a decent country, makes me very very happy, appreciative and looking forward to more of the future.

Life makes me happy, the warm sun, the cool breeze on my arse when I get out the shower, the feel on clean sheets, flowers in spring for their sheer free beauty and smell. Animals and animal companionship I derive great pleasure from too.

Love, the love of my family and friends and especially my boyfriend stablizes my life somewhat, gives me security of “who to turn to”, who will give me REAL support, OBJECTIVE answers, and TRUTHFUL advice when I require direction or encouragement, rather than turning to a superstition for guidance. I seldom feel alone in this world, and I have developed enough wisdom to realise that if I did find myself alone in the world, then I would have to muster up enough mental power to soldier on, find other true friends and resources for support if need be and not feel sorry for myself. To be honest, I do not need alot of support in my life because I feel I can rationalize nearly everything which happens to me and understand it well to deal with it. I do not enjoy boredom, so I do tend to hang out with other people by default.

Something I also derive alot of pleasure from is my brain, getting older and aquiring more knowlege. I can’t seem to soak it up fast enough because it is so interesting, inspiring and I can adapt it to my real life, generally either a) make money for me to spend on other pleasures such as airconditioners, travel, yummy foods and b) to share this information with others who also have such a lust for life based on objectivity rather than subjectivity. Mostly I just find history, science, business, politics very very interesting, and as a person who would like to make informed decisions (aka voting) I find this knowlege to be very helpful in making the correct decision.

I enjoy other mindless matters too, such as movies, video games, television, music, dancing, singing, exercise, all which give me good happy vibes.

I’m not angry at you for such a misinformed post, I am more totally gob smacked and kinda embarrassed as a fellow human being – especially with such resources we have (you obviously have the internet) to inform yourself better. You are almost correct in one of your points, but don’t take it as an ego stroke, as your point isn’t elaborated. You state that atheists have one duty to destroy… to destroy what? people, windscreens, society, churches.. what exactly?

I would like to abolish religion, I don’t see it as having any real purpose in life to be honest considering I’m enjoying life as a moral human being with out it. Your statement alone proves what scares me the most about religion, that it dumbs people down to such a state that free thought is not encouraged (infact I believe religions one mission is to DESTROY all other religion, and free thought, and to inevitably create one dictatorship of power, which ofcourse, is easily seduced and corrupted and used for personal profit).

Now you say to yourself with satisfaction that I have just offended god with that comment and will probably not make it through the gates of heaven to justify your mindlessness. Well not much I can do about rationalizing your own thoughts in your own head. However for me, hey I can do what ever I want, say what ever I want, if I was so inclined to prove to you that I do not feel threatened on this earth by God, I’d go so far as to try to offend a superstition to prove my point, such as, I dunno, cutting up a bible, burning it, pissing on the wall of a church, not because I hate it, but because I know there will no consequences and to state otherwise is just – well again, superstition. And hey, breaking mirrors doesn’t worry me either.

Jesus the tool

I like to categorise people into minimal amounts of folders in my head. There are folders which get used a lot – because humans have similar needs (instincts) and desires (dreams). Once you’ve axed all the fluffy crap away and worked out a persons motives you can easily start to sort everything out. It makes life quicker, safer and easier to navigate. But like riding a bike it takes a little bit of practice. Over time you find that practice has become instinctual and you have people filed away in no time.

This is part of the reason I doubt others opinions on other people (unless they are logic nazis like me). Usually they aren’t intelligent enough to rise past their own natural instincts or want of charactor traits in another person to fulfil their own needs to actually understand what really motivates others around them. Rather they only see the costume another person wears to attain their own needs and desires. Everyone does it. I do it. I’m a perfect retarded chameleon. What do I want? Fundamentally I want trust between myself and others so they will be honest with me – then I can sort all my resources and potential trouble makers which enables me to make good decisions. I pick and choose who I rely on should need be – but to do so I too need to earn the other persons trust, so I’m just honest with them about everything which is relevant to the exercise we’re going to be undertaking together. I like to get on well with my associates, I like to make the time as mutually beneficial and enjoyable as possible. This builds trust, this leads to honest information, this leads to better decision making.

However, others aren’t as confident in trouble shooting as the ye Pheirser dudette.

Some people have no use for true information, they are not skilled enough to make it work, instead they prefer others to fuck up – to make themselves look better, or, to never show their weakness so they can retain full power, or, want to appear cosmetically happy and successful so they can weaken others with envy (I’m talking false success here, like white trash folks driving BMW’s). Others want to be seen as do gooders so no one questions their interest in little boys. Others want to be seen as do gooders because it earns them respect of little people while they climb a well paid heirachy ladder. The list goes on and on and on. But when you honestly don’t give a fuck what people think it’s actually quite liberating – but this means that you have to be aware that you actually don’t need many other people – which is an inhuman trait, but technology and brains makes it possible (remember you’ve already sourced your trustworthy resources). It’s unprecedented in evolution that you can get away with needing so little interaction with others – so there is only a small number of such like existing. They don’t fit into the normal world per se, tho they are resilliant enough to not care.

Corporations can’t buy their instincts to exploit as nonsense consumerism, religious leaders can’t blackmail their living standards with false shame. Employers can’t rape their time and pay cheques further than a contract states. Politicians can’t use stupid words like ‘family values’ to win votes because a smart disconnected person has their own better evolved values and not to mention, evolved bullshit detectors. They are resourceful, the world is their oyster… the opportunities are limitless – being set back for not conforming to someone elses idealologies is just part of expected life, you chameleonize, get your mutual benefit out of the agreement and usually move on to greener pastures after gaining a little more experience.

Getting back to my filing system of people. One of my favorite division into two folders are the “tools” and the “users”. Tools have no idea that they are tools, they shamelessly buy into consumerism for the immediate benefit, the quick thrill, the out Jones’ing, the instant shallow satisfaction. Tools are happy to bend over and take it arse for their employers because they aren’t aware they are being raped, they are bullshitted into a false company/communial spirit and told puting in over time with no compensation is a virtue. The users are the brainy folk, nearly every objective they give you will be a lie. The users are the people who own the business – the active exploiters, or, those who have slyly crawled up the social ladder – some times using traits associated with being a god pleasing noble person– but these people still have motives – it’s called a pay check, power, travel opportunities, ego masturbation.

Other god pleases are tools. But unfortunately they are idiot god pleasers, they are either REALLY NICE PEOPLE, or those who accept poverty as the norm so long as they are doing gods work.

Poverty gets you closer to god right? Isn’t one of the most noblelest things a seeker of such can do is abandon all their posessions, all their comforts, starve for a month and wander out into a scrub or desert with nothing but a compass if you are having a selfish day?
This isn’t smart. This isn’t noble. This is just fucking retarded. This is why Jesus was a spanner (a tool with a special name for those who really are mental upstairs – tho I should give him a handicap for the time he existed, if he did, and if people actually have that date right which I highly doubt). And what demographic subscribes to this false nobility? Why the POOR of course. It’s the only thing they can afford to make themselves feel better about their life. This is exploited as virtue by the users – and the users fucking know it. While the users are pulling in atleast 120 grand pay cheques (at base level) they actively promote the poverty of the tools to sustain their own power. They label it as virtue, but they know it isn’t. They know it’s just as retarded as I do. I actually have more respect for the users than the tools – at least they have a brain and subscribe to what life is all about, survival of the fittest (these days the smartest).

People deny the existance of such people because it scares them too much. They have trusted these charactors for too long, they have made too much personal investment in them that to do a 180 on the concept leaves them with nothing to fall back on. It’s actually easier for the tools to continue to be raped by the false matrix the user creates for them to feel needed than to go up against it, and ‘grow a pair’ I think is the term. The saying ignorance is bliss sums that one up.

So yeah, Jesus was a tool with the exalted title of Spanner, for being a charismatic tool and managing to convince other tools that being a tool is a GOOD THING. What a fucking DOOFUS. Yes owning nothing is a good thing (when you are already poor), starving yourself is a good thing when you are already poor – why? Cause they are too fucking retarded to help themselves (usually pity victims). The only respect they can get is by helping others. It appeals to the poor, and why wouldn’t it. But it still fucking retarded.

I have no problem with helping others, but to make a career out of it is a wank session with hidden agendas – that is human nature.

The world will never be peaceful and perfect, so get over it… stop wasting your brain space as a tool to believe this will change. It will NEVER change. Nature isn’t nice 365 days a year. If you want to help others, be a missionary, at least get paid to see the world that way. You might get blown up, but if you are too retarded to earn (or save) a buck to travel, it might be your best option. People know this, why do you think they do it? Sure some are so brainwashed that they are banking future heaven credits only – but who are they? TOOLS.

I’m going to reword this one day when it’s not midnight.

In the mean time enjoy, and I hope I haven’t worded it too badly. I’m not an english guru – I can’t see the point. And I am too lazy to spell check (remember I don’t give a shit if you think my typing skills are a wank from hell).

Leave your comments, rip into me and I will explain to you if you are a tool, spanner or user and also do you the courtesy of providing an explanation of why. Fluff free. Are you ready?

I’ve been meaning to blog lately, and I never seem to get around to it. I guess I wish to discuss important topics, yet if I punch out something with typos and full of internalized thoughts only then it will look retarded. I’m now willing to take the retarded look – (not that I haven’t before). Heck I’m ALL DERRRRRR

Alright, I’m assuming people are interested in how my new catholic world is going. It’s going OK, it’s not a job I will ever thrive on, because the cause is so intellectually bankrupt, but I’m here with Grant and we’re working things out well. I do my hours and remain professional.

It’s pretty bland here I must say. I thought there would be a few die hard atheists out here to discuss interesting stuff (like the truth), but it seems everyone has the dummy in the mouth, I’m certainly on my own here and I feel like I’m stuck in a time portal some times. As weird as it sounds, I’m also in ‘watch my back’ mode, and for my own security (even if just in my head) I should act more agnostic. I’m getting sent to do a day course in ‘catholic education’. I’m gonna treat it like centerlink and tell them the answers they want to hear. Be a shallow agnostic for a while. But if you don’t hear from me for too longer period of time, assume I’m burried in the desert somewhere, burning in pretend hell.

The school is basically a remand school in the middle of nowhere. The only fuckas willing to take on such a role would be religious nut jobs, but it is a good gospel spreading opportunity, you can really rack em up out here with people of such little education and worldly experience (my I sound so fucking grand). Plaster it with candy wrap and subscribe to nonsense like everyone else

I’m groping at idealogies here. I can see that the boogy man under the bed is a good tool of control in such a feral place (being potentially out of control kids). I can’t argue with that. I just wish it was like Santa Claus where the adults actually KNEW the truth and admitted it around other adults. Perhaps adults are never adults, they are only big kids and always need a boogie man. I dunno. This place is full of ‘products of their own environments’ – it’s pretty hard core tho, because not only are they products of their environments, they are actively trying to put matrixes on on other peoples lives – who are too young and naive to know better – which I TOTALLY don’t agree with. Sure you could say – ‘well you do that too’, but I’ve a non narcissistic, rational argument for that. Yes I do, but with excellent usage of the tools available at my disposal. I might sound ignorant to other people, but if they have chosen to waste their adult years sopping up bullshit because it was easy that is their damage not mine.

I’ve worked out this faith thing. Yes I have faith in science and knowlege. To say I have faith in atheism tho wouldn’t make sense because there is absolutely nothing to being an atheist, it’s not like you do anything to lay your faith in.. unless you want to put a new title on common sense. The only faith I have in atheism is the desperate hope that other educated people debunk the delusion factor before it’s too late.

Now to have faith in other people to as a whole be working out the big picture through a tangible world (basically so everyone is on the same playing field) called science is a much SMALLER leap of faith than to have faith in authority figures spouting bronze age mystical rubbish because they are either a. just ignorant or b. corrupted. I think it’s 50/50 rational, maybe more 60/40, I’m not sure yet. The funny thing is that the very place they seek refuge is the exact same place that the intelligent predators hunt in. It’s a place of confusion and a place of fear. Unless you are removed from the christian mindset, you can’t escape it.

One would have to agree with me there, it is a SMALLER leap of faith to believe in something which does have evidence – even if just some of that evidence is only maths… it’s something most atheists have pondered and sifted actively through, it’s something they have scrutinized and removed themselves from, it’s a personal decision for me that I am capable of making the right decision, even if everyone else is making the wrong decision because some enimactic person bullshitted (a very unoriginal idea) in their ear (eg, gospel spreading – anyone say cult these days?)

So yes, I have faith in myself and other active minded human beings to be seeking the truth. Whether it is true in 10 years time I really don’t care, because this is honestly the best you get, unless you wish to believe all the evolutionary tricks our brain chemistry can lay on us in the name of survival – which is something christianity actively exploits. Spirituality makes me turn green in disgust and throws a wet towel over something I’d considered really beautiful. It spoils it. Plain and simple. Infact that’s the problem, spirituality is just a simple simple word with little real substance – unless you are into mind tricks or just full of shit.

So I still stand by my old saying that people believe in god because they are not intelligent enough to believe in themselves, to trust themselves and themselves alone to make decisions. What SHOULD be scary to them is outside of their thought patterns entirely, that a capital world (soooo utterly different and evolved from their own) is actively out there seeing dollar signs on their heads. Now that is their real threat, but they will just assume God is puting them through a trial while others actively EXPLOIT EXPLOIT EXPLOIT. It’s really sorta ingenious in it’s own special way – their gods are actually the people they fear most.

Christians don’t like running into evidence against creation on the real wiki so they decided to create their own – Conservapedia, and it is FUCKING hillarious!!!!!

Taken straight from this page http://www.conservapedia.com/Dinosaur have a read (back in their early set up days).

Who ever contributes to these pages I would like to NOT thank you for being so fucking mentally lazy in life.

How do museums actually make any money in the USA? And what do they put in the captions?

Creationist Scientists Perspective

Creationist scientists believe that dinosaurs and man coexisted which they claim is based on a number of pieces of evidence. [2] They reject the evolutionary view that dinosaurs existed millions of years ago.

They also reject the “Great Impact Theory” that a meteor struck the earth and caused climatic changes which caused the extinction of dinosaurs and claim there are multiple problems evidentially with this theory. [3]

Creationist scientists also contend that birds being descendants of dinosaurs is unreasonable and is also not scientifically supported with any evidence. [4] [5]

Creationist scientists Dr. Jonathon Safarti wrote regarding dinosaurs being descendants of birds:

The same logic applies to the dinosaur-bird debate. It is perfectly in order for creationists to cite Feduccia’s devastating criticism against the idea that birds evolved ‘ground up’ from running dinosaurs (the cursorial theory). But the dino-to-bird advocates counter with equally powerful arguments against Feduccia’s ‘trees-down’ (arboreal) theory. The evidence indicates that the critics are both right — birds did not evolve either from running dinos or from tree-living mini-crocodiles. In fact, birds did not evolve from non-birds at all! [6]

Creationists also cite the evolutionist Ernst Mayr who in 1942 stated the following:

“It must be admitted, however, that it is a considerable strain on one’s credulity to assume that finely balanced systems such as certain sense organs (the eye of vertebrates, or the bird’s feather) could be improved by random mutations.” [7]

Creationist scientists also cite the March 2003 issue of Scientific American which stated:

“Of all the body coverings nature has designed, feathers are the most various and the most mysterious…The origin of feathers is a specific instance of the much more general question of the origin of evolutionary novelties–structures that have no clear antecedents in ancestral animals and no clear related structures (homologues) in contemporary relatives. Although evolutionary theory provides a robust explanation for the appearance of minor variations in the size and shape of creatures and their component parts, it does not yet give as much guidance for understanding the emergence of entirely new structures, including digits, limbs, eyes and feathers….” [8] [9]

Creationist scientists also assert that the comparative anatomy analysis done by evolutionists comparing bird bones and dinosaur bones is flawed. [10]

Creationists assert that evolutionists are frequently coming out with a “New Theory of Dinosaur Extinction” theories and that their theories are laden with false assumptions. [11] It is worth noting, however, that more and more of these theories are being harmonized with one another.[12]

Humans and Dinosaurs Coexisting

According to creationists, there are a number of lines of evidence that point to dinosaurs and man coexisting. For example, explorers have reported seeing a live dinosaur.[13] A thousand people reported seeing a dinosaur-like monster in two sightings around Sayram Lake in Xinjiang according to the Chinese publication, China Today. An expedition which included Charles W. Gilmore, Curator of Vertebrate Paleontology with the United States National Museum, examined an ancient pictograph which is claimed to portray dinosaurs and man coexisting.[14][15]. The World Book Encyclopedia states that: “The dragons of legend are strangely like actual creatures that have lived in the past. They are much like the great reptiles [dinosaurs] which inhabited the earth long before man is supposed to have appeared on earth. Dragons were generally evil and destructive. Every country had them in its mythology.” [16] The Nile Mosaic of Palestrina, a second century piece of art, is said to appear to be a piece of artwork that shows a dinosaur and man coexisting. [17] Creationist scientist also see the recent dinosaur soft tissue find as a strong rebuttal of the claim that dinosaurs lived millions of years ago. [18]

Since 565 A.D. there are reports about the Loch Ness Monster (Nessie by birth), a large Monster living in Loch Ness, near Inverness, Scotland. People who saw Nessie described the Monster as it would look similar to a dinosaur. In the life story of St. Columba, there is an account of him driving off a monster attacking a Pict. Some have taken this to refer to the Loch Ness Monster.[19]

An alternate theory for the inclusion of dinosaurs within many cultures is the existence of fossils. Ancient people, unaware that the ancient fossils uncovered by erosion were of extinct animals, attributed the bones to living, magical creatures. This would explain the importance of dragons in Chinese culture – there are a large number of dinosaur (as well as non-dinosaur) fossils to be found in China [20].

Dinosaurs and Creationism

Some Christians reject the Theory of Evolution and the current science community consensus of the age of the earth. Of those Christians who reject evolution, the Young Earth Creationists believe, based primarily on Biblical sources, but also drawing on archeological and fossil evidence, that dinosaurs were created on the 6th day of the Creation Week[21] as a final addendum to the wonders God created, approximately 6,000 years ago; that they lived in the Garden of Eden in harmony with other animals, eating only plants[22]; that pairs of various dinosaurs were taken onto Noah’s Ark during the Great Flood and were preserved from drowning[23]; that fossilized dinosaur bones originated during the mass killing of the Flood[24]; and that some descendants of those dinosaurs taken aboard the Ark still roam the earth today.[25]

Because the term only came into use in the 19th century, the Bible obviously does not use the word “dinosaur.” However, they are alleged to be mentioned in numerous places throughout the biblical account. For example, the behemoth in Job and the leviathan in Isaiah are sometimes said to be references to dinosaurs,[26] [27], although some reject this view, saying that behemoth was a hippopotamus and leviathan was a crocodile. There is a problem with this view, however, such as the fact that a hippo doesn’t have a “tail like a cedar” and a crocodile does not accurately match the description of leviathan.

Evolutionary Scientists Perspective

According to evolution science interpretations of fossil records, dinosaurs existed on earth from 230 million years ago to 65 million years ago. The entire population of dinosaurs were supposedly wiped out by a mass extinction event (usually thought to be an asteroid) about 65 million years ago. Young earth creationists hotly contest this view, because it contradicts the creation story in Genesis.

Extinction

According to evolutionary scientists, close to 65 million years ago, at the end of the Cretaceous period, and the beginning of what is called the Tertiary period, an event occurred which has come to be known as the K-T Event. These scientists claim this event obliterated most life on Earth, plunging the world into something that would now be likened to global nuclear winter, through which few extant species could survive. Although scientists dispute the nature of the K-T Event (selecting among any number of catastrophes that could have caused the significant global cooling that resulted), most find that the claimed K-T Event was caused by the collision of a massive asteroid with the Earth, the dust and debris from which shrouded the sky for thousands of years, cooling Earth considerably.[28] According to evolutionary scientists, the dinosaurs did not survive this cataclysm.[29] Evolutionary scientists claim that evidence of the dust that caused this long winter is still visible, though, as a line of metal of extraterrestrial origin is often visible in sediment worldwide, occurring as a result of the vaporization and then fall of dust from the meteorite’s impact, and its compression within the subsequent geological record.[30] The crater is also visible.[31]

Cambrian Life Explosion

According to evolutionary scientists, the extinction of the dinosaurs removed a major food competitor, and predator, of smaller animals. These scientists claim that as a result of a new “vacancy” in the food chain, following the K-T Event, vast speciation occurred, as the evolutionary pressure of a new cold age propelled animal species to adapt or die out. According to these scientists, what we now know as mammals were some of the main beneficiaries of this explosion: their fur allowed them to adapt to the cold, and their small size allowed them to conserve energy relative to the huge dinosaurs of the previous age.[32]

Dinosaurs and Birds

As a number of feathered dinosaur fossils have been discovered, and evolutionary scientist claim the similarity in the bone structure between birds and dinosaurs show that modern birds are a descendants of dinosaurs. This is cited as an example of macroevolution.[33]

Dinosaur Speciation

Dinosaur species were immensely varied, from herbivores to carnivores. Although many have been found in the fossil record, paleontologists expect that they have barely scratched the surface of the vast genus that the dinosaurs encompassed.[34]

I have hoped and prayed for has, at last, been answered! It concerns my older

I was still asleep at 8am (having a merry old snooze) when mum burst in and pulled
open the blinds.
“Are you awake? I have something to tell you. Wake up!”
Apparently, my older brother (in a moment of total weakness)
went for a walk last night to the oval and began yelling at God to ’show Himself’.

I should tell you a bit about my brother.
As far as I know he has always fought against God. If you had
asked me what I’d thought of my brother yesterday, I would have said (unhappily)
that he was selfish, rude, arrogant, misguided and totally without hope (he agreed
with me when I told him this last night).
Now, that sounds so harsh, I know, but it’s the truth! I’ve
grown up with him and I’ve watched his spiritual growth (or rather, his rejection
of it) and I have prayed for him without really expecting anything to change.
I know it was wrong of me to have so little faith that God could never — or maybe,
WOULD never — reach him.
My brother has always been the sort to suffer without asking
for help; to only focus on his own desires. I’ve been so worried about him because
he has lost a LOT of money gambling, he often goes out to look for empty fun in
nightclubs (returning home miserable and drunk), his car has been smashed recently
(rendering it undriveable — he’s lucky he wasn’t killed!), he’s had his wallet
stolen, he’s isolated himself from the rest of the family, etc, etc… And through
all this I’ve hoped he would (perhaps – pray, pray) turn to God for guidance.
But his ‘there’s only me’ attitude seemed only to grow from these incidences,
with useless attempts being made by me to help him turn to God. I wanted him to
see that perhaps God was testing him — but nothing seemed to change. There
is no God! God is something you create in a state of meditation. There is only
you and the world.

    Still, I prayed…

Back to this morning…
My mum told me that he went to the oval to attack God (he has
done this before)… and that this time God answered
I was nearly in tears when I heard this. The story from my
brother was that God told him not to yell at Him in the park, and that he should
learn to read the Bible.
So that’s just what he did! And he reported to my dad this
morning that he found the peace he so desperately needed in the Bible. Praise
God!

Please understand, this is something huge for me to get my head around because
my brother has never wanted to read the Bible before — especially not
after being told to by God Himself! I haven’t spoken to him yet… I wonder if
he’ll speak to me about this.

But in the meantime, I’ll continue to pray (this time with renewed energy and
much, MUCH thanks).
